[Vous devez être inscrit et connecté pour voir ce lien]Vice Chairman of Kaduna United, Mr Patrick Katuka, has charged the players of the Nigerian side to beat Entente Sportive Setif of Algeria in their CAF Confederation Cup match today in other to make the people and government of Kaduna State proud.
Mr Katuka, who visited the players' camp recently, also informed the players that the government of Governor Patrick Yakowa was fully in support of their course and asked them to make sure they win the gain for the governor and Nigerians as a whole.
“We want you to beat Setif. This victory will not be for us alone but for the entire nation. We in the management of the club know that you can make it. So, go out there and win for us. The government is backing you, His Excellency is with you, so go and beat Setif 5-0 and prove your worth.
The club's vice chairman donated N50,000 to the players and told them that more largesse would come when they take the team to the group stages.
He also visited the visiting team's hotel Al-Insan and addressed the management of the team. He reminded them that Nigeria and Algeria have something in common when it comes to sports in Africa.
“You have to feel at home, Kaduna is home for all. We are good in hospitality and we hope you can enjoy your stay with us.
“Nigeria and Algeria have many things in common, most especially in sports. So, we hope this match will be played as a friendly and you will go back home safe,” he told the Algerians.
